The point structure for 2010 is as follows:
Each participant gets 50 points upon joining Red Cross Racing.
Red Cell (Whole Blood)
- Donation 1: 150 pts
- Donation 2: 350 pts
- Donation 3: 500 pts
- Donation 4: 600 pts
- Donation 5: 700 pts
- Donation 6: 800 pts
Double Red Cell
- Donation 1: 500 pts
- Donation 2: 1,100 pts
- Donation 3: 1,500 pts
Platelet donations
- Donations 1-4: 50 pts
- Donations 5-8: 125 pts
- Donations 9-12: 150 pts
- Donations 13-16: 175 pts
- Donations 17-20: 200 pts
- Donations 21+: 225 pts
Each procedure type has its own point tier based on how frequently you can perform each procedure.
The Red Cross Racing program is set up so you get points based on each procedure and not the number of units/pints. Only one type of donation can be reported at a time. Points will not be credited to accounts for a platelet donation in addition to a whole blood donation on the same date. Please select a single procedure type to report each time you record your donations.
Official Terms and Conditions
- Participants can accrue points by donating or presenting to donate whole blood, platelets or double red cells between January 16, 2010 and January 15, 2011. Additional donation procedures may, at the sole discretion of the Red Cross, also be eligible for points. To accrue points, participants must report their donation at redcrossracing.com. Donations must be reported by January 24, 2011 at 11:59:59 PM CST. Points will be listed as pending until they can be verified. This automated verification process takes between 5 - 10 days. All pending points will be verified prior to being added to member accounts before the point expiration date. Red Cross reserves the right to use its judgment to resolve any disagreements about point awards.

- Donate: January 16, 2010 through January 15, 2011
- Report donations: January 16, 2010 through January 24, 2011 at 11:59:59 PM CST
- Exchange points for prizes: February 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011 at 11:59:59 PM CST
- Refer a Friend - Participants can also accrue points by referring new users to the program. This can be done by clicking on the 'Refer Your Friends' link on the right side of the homepage. This link will only appear after you are logged in. Here you can enter email addresses of the people whom you wish to refer. When the user(s) of the email address(es) you have referred register for Red Cross Racing and successfully report blood donation activity, a one time addition of 25 points will accrue in your account for each successful email registration that reports blood donation activity. It is important to note that the user you refer must sign up for Red Cross Racing with the email to which your referral email was sent.
- Point Redemption - Donor rewards prizes will be fulfilled after the participant's points are exchanged at redcrossracing.com. Prizes are available only while supplies last. Prize images and/or details listed on the website are subject to change at any time. Points may be accumulated between January 16, 2010 and January 15, 2011 and must be exchanged by January 31, 2011 at 11:59:59 PM CST. Any points not exchanged by that time will be null and void.
- Bonus Points - 75 bonus points will be awarded to Red Cross Racing members who donate or present to donate during the dates listed below. Bonus points will be awarded:
- Friday, May 28, 2010 through Tuesday, June 1 2010
- Thursday July 1, 2010 through Monday July 5, 2010
- Friday September 3, 2010 through Friday September 10, 2010
- Wednesday, November 24, 2010 through Monday, November 29, 2010
- Thursday, December 23, 2010 through Friday, January 7, 2011
Red Cross Racing Hall of Fame members will receive an additional 50 bonus points for donating during the bonus periods. Additional bonus point periods may be determined at the sole discretion of the Red Cross.
- Hall of Fame - Users will be inducted into the Red Cross Racing Hall of Fame upon their second consecutive year of membership in which they have reported two or more donation activities per year in each year. Hall of Fame status can be revoked or awarded by the Red Cross to/from any user at any time without prior notice. Refer to Section 4 for Bonus Point benefits awarded to Hall of Fame members.
- Team Competition -Individual Red Cross Racing program participants are able to join or form a team. Point totals for each team member will be combined to determine the overall team point total. Individual points redeemed do not affect the overall team point total and/or standings. The team competition is organized into two (2) divisions. Division One (1) teams have between 101-300 members. Division (Two) 2 teams have 100 or less members. Both divisions have prize portfolios rewarding top performing teams. Team owners are allowed to add or remove members at their discretion. The deadline to add or remove team members is December 15, 2010 11:59:59 PM CST. Members cannot be added or removed after this date for team to remain eligible at the completion of the 2010 season. A team will change divisions based on number of members throughout the 2010 Donor Rewards/Team Competition season. Team Prizes: #1 Ranked Team (Div. 1 & 2) - Grand Prize: The #1 ranked team in each division will receive an Autographed Full Size Replica 2010 Greg Biffle American Red Cross Helmet (awarded to Team Owner on behalf of the entire team). The Team Owner of the #1 ranked team in each division will receive a Red Cross Racing Leather Jacket autographed by Greg Biffle. Each team member of the #1 ranked team in each division will receive a custom Red Cross Racing Team Short Sleeve T-Shirt. Team Prizes: #2 Ranked Team (Div. 1 & 2) - The Team Owner of the #2 ranked team in each division will receive an autographed 2010 1:24 Scale HO No. 16 American Red Cross Die Cast Car and letter from Greg Biffle. Each team member of the #2 ranked team in each division will receive a custom Red Cross Racing Team Short Sleeve T-Shirt. Team Prizes: #3 - #10 Ranked Teams (Div. 1 & 2) - The Team Owner of the #3 - #10 ranked teams in each division will receive a 2010 1:24 Scale HO No. 16 American Red Cross Die Cast Car autographed by Greg Biffle. Each team member of the #3- #10 ranked teams in each division will be awarded 100 Bonus Donor Rewards Points for 2011 (pre-loaded in their accounts at the start of the 2011 program). Program and prize details listed on the website are subject to change at any time.
- Fantasy Racing - The American Red Cross Fantasy Racing Game is a game based on the race results of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Each participant is to be allowed to choose five drivers for each race and receive points based on the finishes of their picks. No purchase necessary. Playing American Red Cross Fantasy Racing is free. Participants may register to play at any time during the course of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, beginning with the Daytona 500 in February 2010. To register, complete the online registration form located at redcrossracing.com. Eligibility - The American Red Cross Fantasy Racing game is open only to US Residents who are 16 years of age or older. Residents of Puerto Rico are not eligible to participate in Fantasy Racing. Making Picks - Each week, pick the five cars/drivers you think will do the best for that race. When making your picks for the first time, your selections will automatically be applied to each race in the season that has yet to be played. Regular Season Schedule - The first scheduled race that is eligible for this game is on Sunday, February 14, 2010, and the final scheduled race is on Sunday, November 21, 2010. To be eligible for a race, participants' entries for that race must be made by midnight CST on the night before the race. Scoring - Participants will receive points equal to the number of points awarded by NASCAR to the drivers that they picked. Points are only awarded for the car number/driver combinations listed on this website. League Weekly Prizes - Each week, the players with the highest ten (10) scores for just that week will receive a pre-selected custom Red Cross Racing Fantasy Racing Series Short Sleeve T-Shirt. Weekly winners will be receiving an email communication with instructions to redeem their prize. T-shirt sizes are limited and prize details listed on the website are subject to change at any time. League Grand Prize - At the end of the 2010 Fantasy Racing season, the player with the most points will receive a custom Red Cross Racing Leather Jacket autographed by Greg Biffle. Tie Breaker - If more than one person has the same number of points at the end, the tie breaker will go as follows: (1) player with most wins, (2) player with most top 5 finishes, (3) player with most top 10 finishes, (4) random drawing.
- Service to the Armed Forces - Donations of Red Cross Racing Donor Rewards points are being collected by the American Red Cross and converted into U.S. dollars for an aggregate donation to the American Red Cross Service to Armed Forces (SAF) relief fund. All donation equivalencies are approximate and for illustrative purposes only. Individual Donor Reward point donations will not be tracked to the Red Cross Racing member donating points but will be applied to the general donation to the SAF fund. Point donations are not tax-deductible to the Red Cross Racing member. For any Red Cross Racing Donor Rewards member who would like to donate money directly to the SAF fund, please click here.
- Program points have no cash value and are not transferable or assignable.
- Red Cross reserves the right to discontinue or terminate the Red Cross Racing program, member, or team at any time. All points accrued prior to its termination will be eligible for exchange in accordance with the official rules.
Red Cross reserves the right to terminate team participants for violating program terms and conditions and for negligence and/or false reporting on redcrossracing.com. The American Red Cross and its partners cannot be held liable or responsible for content and/or language posted by team owners on team message boards.
